Design Approach

Without changing the home’s footprint and area, this renovation creates a contemporary open-concept kitchen and breakfast room for a San Francisco residence. With a dividing wall removed, and the guest bathroom relocated, daylight permeates the newly configured space. The adjacent deck provides new outdoor space at the same level, and a new stairway creates a more gracious connection to the rear yard beyond.
