​This project started as a tasting room renovation, and expanded to the adjacent spaces to create a welcoming hospitality experience.  We worked closely with the client’s interior designer to transform the look and feel of the existing space, evolving the existing rustic feel to something more contemporary and vibrant. The result was a well-balanced, rich textural space.

The floor plan was reconfigured to open the space and to optimize surrounding views and well-suited for wine tasting. The tasting room is surrounded by exterior courtyards, creating an indoor-outdoor feel. Large folding doors open up to the west courtyard and a stunning view. The interior space includes dark wood, softly textured plaster, brass, antique mirrors, bright art work and textiles. The architecture creates a luxury experience through precise detailing and thoughtful implementation. Support services are well-integrated while customer facing spaces are curated for an enjoyable experience.

The mechanical system was revamped to support conditioning a vaulted tasting room from the interior core. Two concrete shear walls were added in place of structure that was removed. The roofs and entry canopy was reframed and replaced. The fire suppression system was upgraded and repaired. New lighting and automated controls were provided. New accessible door hardware, an accessible ramp, and railings were added. Each element was thoughtfully considered and well-integrated into the space.​
