Design Approach

The historic Masonic Temple is located at the heart of the thriving Fruitvale Transit Village. Built in 1908 and expanded in 1924, the temple had fallen vacant for a number of years. PWA was engaged
by the Unity Council to re-imagine the building as a center of entrepreneurship and community.

This co-working space includes open workspaces, private offices, phone booths, conference rooms, an auditorium and a flexible multi-purpose room which was once the Masonic ceremonial room.
