Design Approach

The occupied rehabilitation of Hismen Hin-Nu Terrace upgraded key building components including a voluntary seismic upgrade, podium waterproofing and planter reconditioning, as well as functional and aesthetic improvements to several exterior courtyards. To minimize impact on residents, seismic retrofit work was contained within the ground floor retail spaces. Each living unit was individually evaluated,
but most units received new doors, flooring, lighting, painting, bathrooms and kitchens.
